Description
The Moone high cross is found in Co. Kildare. Standing an impressive 5,3 m tall, this cross is thought to have been carved between 900 – 1000 AD and is made of granite. The theme of the cross is the help of God and scenes depicted include Daniel in the lions den, the Crucifixion, the Flight from Egypt, angels, spirals and monsters.
