Having been born in Argentina and raised in Berlin (where his career as gold and silversmith began), today Klaus Bamberg lives in Northern Italy. On a beautifully renovated farm at the foot of the Alps with his wife and muse and their many cats. His artistic approach emphasizes how something feels. His creations are not only pleasant to the eye but also pleasing to the touch and are thus very satisfying to handle and wear. The German saying "Um etwas zu begreifen, muss man es erfassen" (In order to grasp something, one has to seize it) expresses Klaus’s approach to art and life. His jewellery reflects an understanding of life as an ongoing rearrangement of energy and his art and jewellery pieces are for people who appreciate the splendour of subtle beauty and the power of sacred intent.
