The gothic crosses appear in thirteenth century and grow up till fifteenth century. The gothic art is the one which, with the Greek art, deserves the best the name of style, because of the originality of the forms which have been realized and the unit which impregnates all its creations during the four centuries where it has reigned over Europe.
