Alessandro Caligostra’s (1743-1795) secret magic code, with the aid of which a magician, alchemist, charlatan, using randomly chosen sets of letters out of 3 separate keys, was able to create charms, realizing his various, not only decent, wishes. Concentration on a key was believed to release spiritualist powers, realize the charms and foresee the future.
