Description
This high cross is The North Cross, found in Co. Kildare. Standing at 3 m tall, this cross is thought to date from the 9th century. The east face of the cross depicts a crucifixion scene surrounded by the 12 apostles. The west face includes scenes of Adam and Eve, Daniel in the Lions Den, and the multiplication of the loaves and fishes.
