Description
An amulet, which in the past was a sign of sailors and sea goddess only, assigned to add hope, courage, and created protection to a ship bothered by storms. It provided successful finding of destinations, and safe return to the maternal port (dropping anchor was a relief for exhausted sailors associated with God’s mercy and will that let survive). The anchor is a strong belief in Providence and God’s mercy was more and more often published as a symbol of anchor and after adding the horizontal arm, it became a Christian symbol. It is presently a symbol of strong faith, character and principles. Used to find one’s own way and place in life.
